Hope you don't mind me asking but what are your stats/residency?

Let me just say that by experience I think that the official UNLV rejection email sucks. They title the email "rejection" which makes you feel like crap immediately. Also, they decided that on the title they would capitalize ALL of the letters in the word "REJECTION" (as if capitalizing the first letter wouldn't be enough) just to make sure that there is absolutely no confusion (and thus excitement) about the intent of the email. Anyway, that was two years ago when I received that email and I was pretty upset so I feel for you. Haven't gotten rejected yet though (fingers crossed).

Ha! Are you kidding? Bastards.

CU's rejection e-mail is titled "NO THANK YOU". How's that for rude?

resident of canada. BYU student. Stats on predents under rejections at unlv hahah

You should call them and ask them why they rejected you. Your stats are pretty good, I wonder if its because of your international residency. I know some schools prefer U.S. citizens to not. What say you?

those stats aren't bad. Hmm well at least we know UNLV is starting to look at apps now

Wow, I read your stats at predents. I saw that you "successfully cured cancer" as an extracurricular. Maybe they think you should go to med school.

Coldfish, sorry about the bad news from UNLV. Looks like you applied to a good number of other schools though, so best of luck to you on the rest!

A fellow Canadian.

that sucks, now i'm scared to check my email, haha. best of luck with the rest of the application cycle

I think part of the reason they might have rejected you is because you go to BYU. There are hundreds of applicants from BYU that apply to UNLV. They even told us last year that more people get accepted coming out of BYU than out of UNLV or UNR. So to be competitive from BYU you really have to have a strong ap. Thats just my 2 cents though take it at face value.

I knew that I would be compared to other BYU students. My GPA at byu is alot higher than it is on my aadsas. I had a couple of JC credits that didn't transfer to BYU but did make it onto my application.

predents has my aadsas grades

I'm sorry to say but that was stupid of you to apply...they explicitly say that they don't take foreigners. I am a foreigner and that school is not a part of the list of schools i'm applying to because they clearly state that they're not taking foreigners. There are just a couple of state schools that would consider your application, although I think they state that so that you'll send them your check (i.e. UCSF ). Apply to private schools, don't waste your time with the state schools.

lolalola, UNLV does accept Canadians. I called them myself and know of Canadians who are studying there right now. "Foreigners" sometimes includes Canadians and sometimes does not.

Do they have American citizenship? (Dual?)

Lolalola, sorry to say that you are, in fact, stupid. Before you ignorantly claim that my application was in vain you should try checking the website which says that they accepted credits from Canadian and American universities. To bad you re so badly uninformed. Alot of state schools accept canadians.
