To all of the UNMC interviewers, I'm curious to see which campus you prefer, and why.

The UNK program seems very appealing with many aspects such as the 16 man class size, but the fact that there will only be two dedicated professors there at any one time makes me a little apprehensive (among a few other reasons). So I'm wondering what other people's opinions are.

Thanks

I live about halfway between Kearney and Omaha and if I end up going to UNMC, I'll definitely go to the Omaha campus. The idea of a real small class size and living in Kearney doesn't really appeal to me. The facilities look great and are brand new, but I want to be around more people and Omaha has a lot more to offer as a place to live. These are just my opinions, I'm not saying small class sizes are bad (I had a pretty small high school class) and there's nothing wrong with living in Kearney. If given the option, I'd take the larger class size and Omaha campus, but that's just me.

Those are my main reasons.

Like you said, only having a couple dedicated faculty on site sounds a little concerning. After the interview they showed us the video conferencing demonstration, so I think there will be a lot of collaborative learning that way. And from what I understand, it will work both ways - so sometimes the lecturing professor will be in Kearney and Omaha will be receiving the video and vice versa. I don't mind that at all, but it would be nice to drop in to a professor's office if you needed to.

What date did you interview?
