I took the MCAT 3 times with the dates listed below. I initially requested that my MCAT scores be released from AAMC to AACOMAS in early May 2019 (I only had 2 MCAT scores at the time). both scores are currently posted under my account as official. I decided to retake for a 3rd time in June and my score was released last week.

I sent in my AACOMAS primary app to all of my schools on the same day of score release (7/30/19). However, only the 2 past official scores were sent. I manually placed my 3rd MCAT Score and I see that it shows up as unofficial on my primary. I also requested that my 3 MCAT scores be resent to AACOMAS last week and they finally got updated on my AACOMAS portal as official. I was working on my secondaries today when, I noticed that all of the schools had my MCAT from my 2nd attempt and not the 3rd attempt, even though I listed that I had 3 attempts on the unofficial MCAT section. Should I update schools on this, or will they go based on my unofficial reported scores?

Yes, I suggest you update the schools, particularly if there's a discrepancy between your third and first two scores.

Thanks for responding quickly. do you know if AACOMAS automatically sends the official score? I already contacted 2 schools and they were only aware of my 2 scores, even though I manually placed my 3rd score and it was made official today.

When I added my updated MCAT score to AACOMAS (and it became verified by AACOMAS, meaning it was official) I emailed the schools I had applied to to let them know my new score was added to my AACOMAS application. Most schools told me that their system would either autoupdate with the new score, or they said thanks and they would make note of it in my file.

Thanks, that was what I was planning on doing. I called some schools up and they said they only saw my 2 attempts, so now I want to make sure every school is on the same page when they review my file

Ya, until the score is marked as official by AACOMAS the schools pry won't see it. Also, some schools told me they update applications in batches, like every Monday or something like that, so that could also be a reason why they haven't seen it yet. But just call/email them and let them know its official on your AACOMAS application. Good luck!
