So these are my scores:
PAT: 15
QR: 16
RC: 15
Bio: 17
GC: 15
OC: 17
TS: 16
AA: 16
This was my first time taking the test and I had a solid 2 weeks of studying put in.
Compared to every single post I've read on SND I did horrifically bad. I don't think I've seen anyone with lower scores.
Also curious to know if the lowest is 15? Because I didn't finish some of the sections and I thought it would have been a lower score. I know it ranges from 1-30 but I was expecting a lower score (that sounds terrible but it's the truth)
So this is my story. I applied for this cycle. I felt VERY pressured to apply to my instate school (very long story), even though I had not taken nor studied for the DAT at all. I did, I applied on AADSAS, and even submitted my secondary application with their fee, and I'd say all of this was done between early September to early October. When it was all submitted I set a date for the DAT, November 17th. I didn't start really studying until the end of October, and I bought the DAT destroyer, and a friend donated all of their previous material for me to study. As expected I got overwhelmed with everything and was studying random things and cramming. I just found out about SDN and lets just say I wish I knew about this site sooner. I just now took my DAT and scores (terrible) will be sent within two weeks. Two weeks from today is December 1 and that's when the application closes. And clearly with all the procrastination of getting my application in and just now taking my DAT, it's obvious my chances are very slim to none into getting into school. I am going to retest in 90 days.
I guess this more of a venting post for me, because my friends are not in the medical/dental field so they don't know what to say or give me any advice.
All I know is that I wish I didn't give into the pressure to apply and waste all that money, before even taking the test.
Anyway I would love any input or advice and opinions, about how to prepare for my next exam, and what to do for next cycle from my fellow pre-dents out there!!
I greatly appreciate it! Good luck and God Bless!!
