Hey! I was wondering if someone could help me. I have 2 manuscripts that I'm going to be submitting for possible journal publication at the end of this semester, but obviously they're not published yet. Should I list them on SOPHAS under Relevant Honors or just briefly mention them under the Research Section? Any help is always appreciated and will be reciprocated! 🙂

anyone? I'm sorry to keep posting new threads, but I couldn't find one that answered my questions. I really appreciate how helpful people are on these boards. 🙂

Tricky question - some people say that you should never list an MS in progress as a publication (what if it doesn't get accepted? Egg on face = major yes). I think that it is OK as long as you make it absolutely clear that it has only been submitted or is still in preparation, although neither of those two categories will boost your application much. If submitted, include date of submission and journal to which the article was submitted. Just my $0.02.

Thanks! I was thinking that I might put something under my research experience about having a manuscript in progress, but I definitely was not going to lie and say it was published. I don't even know which journals I'm going to submit it to yet.
