Is it possible to defer this loan until post graduation? (meaning defer interest rates until after graduation)

If so, how?

Also, has anyone received SDS (scholarship for disadv students)? If so, how much is the usual amount of aid?

As far as I know, it's not. Once you take out unsubsidized loans, you're stuck with the interest accrual. You don't have to pay the interest while in school, but it is still accruing. A nice feature is that it isn't capitalized until you enter repayment.

No. That is why it's called unsubsidized vs subsidized
