I'm a third-year US-IMG very interested in psychiatry and plan to apply for residency next Fall for '13. I scored 234/99 on Step 1 and did well in psych core clerkship that I completed at a top 10 psych hospital (in the US). I have no clue when I should take Step 2 (CS and CK)...I'm only several core rotations in, and don't expect to complete IM until next Spring. any advice on when to take it to be good for apps?
also, for those who are currently or have previously gone through the Match -- would you mind sharing suggestions on what kind of electives to pursue or other things to help my application for psychiatry? I'm really nervous now that prematch is out =/
