ok...I took biology I at a local college but have since found this is not bio I for MAJORS. I think med schools require 1 year of bio at the same level as majors. Unfortunately my local college does not offer BIO I for majors till next fall when I had hoped to be done with the courses. My college will let me take BIO II for majors this spring and a more advanced course in the summer. Will THIS satisfy med schools or do I need to wait till next fall and take BIO I for majors? That would set me back a full year 🙁

Any suggestions gratefully received

They won't accept bio for non-majors. Try going to another community college, or your local state college. Maybe even universities near by will let you take a course if you ask nicely.

yes, you can take upper level courses to substitute for your requirements - I took 4 semesters of upper level bio, since Tx schools require 2 years and were iffy about accepting my AP credit for intro bio.
