UOP February interview
Started by ndds
I had my interview there last week and during my interview my interviewer told me that about 123 people had submitted a deposit and that their class size is about 140. However, at the end of the day someone asked one of the admissions staff members and he didn't give a number or estimate and just said they were still waiting to hear back from accepted candidates.
zomorrod, when did you get your interview invite? I'm still on "final review."

Have you heard back from UOP? How many interviewees were there with you?

typically each interview group is 10 students (ive seen a few with just 8)... currently there are (tentatively) interviews scheduled until Match 8th (just a heads up)

still in final review...doesn't look promising.
I'm interviewing there Feb 23rd and I'm super pumped. I don't care if it's for the wait list. Does anyone know how many people tend to get in off the wait list?![]()
from what i hear, if you get on waitlist, you will get in the next cycle if you apply again (without interview). so congrats 👍
Skyhak when did you get your invite for the interview? and Congrats!
I had my interview at UOP this past week. They said that we were interviewing for alternate spots. They said that they rank the alternate list into quartiles. They said that usually students from the first 2 quartiles usually get in. I hope to be in one of the first 2 quartiles. They said that the most movement on the list happens in April when second deposits are due, then after that it moves very slow because only a couple of spots might open up after second deposits.

Hey BTown DDS, I remember meeting you at the Columbia interview. I sat next to you when we were all in the conference room for the presentation. My UoP interview is next Thursday. Thanks for the tips. Best of luck to you.

I remember you to. The interview at UOP is really chill. The interview with a faculty member is an hour long, but is just a conversation. I wasn't even asked why dentistry. The faculty member just mainly talked about his family and the student interview is basically just the student telling you about the school and answering your questions you have about the school. I just hope I am in the first 2 quartiles because I am older and it would be nice to finish in 3 years. The school also has one of the best clinical programs in the country.

Thanks for the details. I'm shooting for that sweet spot too. Good luck to you all. Hopefully we'll all be sharing notes in July.
