So on UoP's web site my status updated to:"App Type: Final Review, Allow 4-6 weeks" on 2/16.

I'm just wondering what this means and if anyone else got it...I'm realistic that I'm not getting in there but I figured my next update would be to application denied or something along those lines.

Ideas? Thanks in advance...feed my curiosity 🙂

Got the same thing...its kind of irritating the whole "7-8 weeks", then "re-review in Jan", and now "final review 4-6 weeks". I have given up on getting any love from UoP...you would think by now they would have realized whether or not they want to interview us. Oh well!

haha either interview me or reject me...i totally agree. I hate this in-between delay of decision making.

Hmm...they should seriously have a legend for all of these statuses and what they really mean 🙂

I withdrew when their " allow 6-8 weeks " turned out to be "14-16" weeks !

Just called. They are still sending out interview invitations...we should know within a few weeks. Better than a rejection!

I am in the same boat. I have totally given up on them. At least they are better then UCLA who I have not even heard from since I sent in my secondary.

I interviewed for the waitlist. I was told they interview roughly 30-40 for the list, and i know they started interviewing for the list at least last week (10 ppl per date, and interview twice a week). Stan Constantino said over 90% of the waitlist will get in the NEXT cycle. He also said last year no more than a dozen people got in off the waitlist. Hope this info helps.

I should feel like a loser by saying this but last year 5/9 people in my interview group got in from March 5th's waitlist interview. Even if you get an interview for a waitlist, there is ALWAys A CHANCE FOR YOU TO GET IN!! Keep that in mind.

There are 35-40 interviewed for the waitlist, then there are those who were interviewed earlier for actualy seats and just got waitlisted automatically if they didnt get in?

So is the waitlist a lot longer than 40 then? more like 80?

Do I have to retake the DAT?
Our incoming class averages are: academic average 21, perceptual ability 22, reading comprehension 22, quantitative reasoning 19, biology 21, general chemistry 22, organic chemistry 22, and total science 22.


I think that they will have highest DAT average with Columbia.

I just got the same status too. I did a little searching on the forum and found a post from excite4 back in the end of Jan 2005 and he/she said this...

"I recently called UOP to withdraw my application and the woman I talked to said that because my application had been in final review that meant they would have offered me an interview when and if a date became available. I guess that means that those in final review still have a chance....even though it is slim."

Take it with a grain of salt...but hopefully that gives us an inkling of hope.

She said that any granted from this point on would be for a position on the waitlist. I would assume that there are a lot of people already on the waitlist. Even if they gave me a shot at an interview, I don't think I'd be able to justify the east-west coast flight for a "maybe at best" response.

I am with you on that thought. That's why I am calling the school tomorrow and have them withdraw my application. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting.

I got the same thing. I wish there was a way to know how many on the waitlist and what number one would be if they interviewed this late in the cycle. Also is the waitlist first come first served? Or someone with better gpa and dat might bump an earlier waitlister off?

I think that tomorrow might be the last date to hear from them because they interview till the begining of March I think. If you have an interview at the begining of March then they would want to give at least a 2 week notice.

I have the same "Final review" status on mine, and I called them today...the lady told me that they are going to interview until April (surprising, I don't know how true and reliable that is), and there are still spots left for the entering class of 2013. Hopefully they do not say this just to make us feel better...😕
