i just checked my status for UoP, and it says "Web site last updated on Oct 31 2008" but the status still hasn't changed. it is still 'File is in Review'
does that mean i wasn't chosen for post dec 1 interview pool?

I'm in the same boat. but, yeah..I think most likely we weren't chosen for post dec1 interview pool bc I remember some people said that their status now is "Rereview in Dec".

Guys, I'm in the same boat. I gave them a call, and they told me that my application has been in review for 6 weeks, and will probably be turned into "post-dec review" soon because the pre-Dec interviews are all out already. If we were not chosen for either pre or post DEC interview, then we would get sth like "no decision" or sth. Got it?

checked my status again today,,,(it's been awhile)
and it says it was updated on 11/14 and it is still "file is in review"

but mine is still file is in review...so i was wondering if that means rejection...?

I called UOP last week (for the same reason of "file is in review") and they told me that if they are going to offer any more interviews it would be for alternate spots. And since very few turn down UOP... well, i'm not holding high hopes.
