I am in the same boat too. I think they are just stringing us along becuase they can. They don't look bad by rejecting us early and they still have us as potentials if they absolutely need to fill spots. They only interview 300, so we may be out of luck.
 
mine says the same.

basically, it means to forget about UOP and that we may have a 1% chance of getting an interview there.

oh well....
 
anyone get rejected from uop yet? if not im thinking most of us rereview people will get the axe cuz I know they started interviewing.

I have an interview for Nov 20th at UOP.
 
I know a person who has been invited to interview at UOP (at least that's what she says). But, except for her everyone else I know, including myself, is either "file is in review" or "No decision". Bastards!! 😡
 
UOP website is updated, my file, after 5 weeks, is still under review!
 
Anyone know approximately how many students have been interviewed by UOP up to this point?

They said that they anticipate about 300 interviewees total.

I heard from UOP as well. They called me on my cell phone and also gave me a scholarship.

Yes, it has been updated, though it says updated Dec 2, oh well.

I just checked it. I was accepted yesterday. So those who
are interested in status, please check again.
 
For me, under "Application Fee Paid" it says "Yes".

The next column, under "Status", it says "Application Fee not Paid".

Can someone make me understand that?
 
when do you think they review apps on hold?
 
This is what it says:

Congratulations. You have been accepted to the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. You will receive formal written notification of this decision.
 
i know several people's apps said "re-review in DEC" a month ago.


has anyone's app been updated at UOP besides vishal?
 
My status finally was updated to "Accepted" today (12/11/03)

my status is "still in review"...nothing has changed since they first started webtools Oct.1. what a drag...
 
Im also still under review...its been way over 8 weeks but i guess its better than seeing no decision right? I submitted addsas July 29.
 
yeah I submitted July 19 and it says they got my app 8/4 and my LORs 8/14. I talked to a guy there yesterday and he said it was "a good sign", but just to be patient...I hate getting my hopes up! Also, with the holidays coming up, we might be under review basically till Jan.

uop updated on the 18th. and guess what it says? rereview in December. But wait, last time i checked, it's december now. WTF. why are they prolonging my demise? just end my misery!!!!!!!
 
Yeah, I guess they are just waiting until my 8 week are up until they decide to re-rereview my application in the next 4 to 8 weeks.
 
I think mine has been updated since the 1st (accepted).
 
Im surprised my application is gonna be in review for 4-8 weeks. It shouldnt take them for than 3 days to decide to give me the axe.

Mine says "Rereview in January". I'm just hoping that I'll get an interview invite after January 15th, when a lot of the admits will turn down their offer. We still have a chance though! It's still early on in the admissions cycle.

we can pretty much count on a rejection if we havent heard from uop yet. Their class is almost full and they have not sent out any rejections to anyone..... they're just stringing us along.

Now, if they say rereview in feb, then im gonna self-reject for them.
 
they told me they interview until the end of february..
 
A bunch of us interviewed in late February last year, and we were accepted soon after that. Don't lose hope!
 
They old me the class is full but they are doing alternate interviews... I was accepted at my first choice and canceled my interview with UOP, which was scheduled for feb 26th....
 
may they meant "re-review end of Jan 2005":laugh:
 
I'm kinda choked that UoP didnt give me an interview this year. They would have been a school that I would have given up my Tufts deposit for. Oh well, I guess it could be worse.

what other schools did you apply to this year? And what other schools would you consider over Tufts?
