hey guys.. im in tier 2 and i was just wondering if there is anyone out there who STILL hasn't heard anything? i called like 2 weeks ago and they said i was still one of a very few from tier 2 still being reviewed. but yeah so far... nothing. Usually if they reject people, do the send letters of rejection right away? or do they send the rejection letters at the end of the whole admissions cycle? man... this is such a bummer.

Have any "tier 3" applicants received any denial or interview letters?

I submitted Oct 10th, and I've just received 3-4 of their generic letters stating that my application has been received, all pre-reqs have been met, etc.

I've received an interview invitation probably a few weeks after the deadline. I did turn in my pharmcas app in August so all they had to do was review my supplemental. I turned my supplemental a few days before the deadline.

Hope that helps!

hey, is anyone flying from so cal into sacramento airport for the interview on the 19? If so, how do you plan on getting to stockton? taxi? rent a car? i'm trying to find some info on cab fare, but couln't find anything.

Thinkblue, I am flying from socal to SMF on the 19th too...will board the earliest flight. Is your interview in the afternoon at 1pm. Are you planning on renting a car or take the shuttle? I think the shuttle costs about 60 something dollars and taxi costs about $130 - $150 (correct me if i am wrong). I personally haven't driven for a long time so I don't have many options. I have never been to Stockton and I don't know how dark it will get by the time we are done with the interview. From reading some of the posts, that area isn't very safe. I am worried about reserving a shuttle, I have heard that it might or might not show up even if you book it a month in advance. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Bauhinia, my interview is @ 1pm. my flight arrives at 910am. I don't think I would take a taxi. The rate is 2.40 for each additional mile. for the shuttle, I got an estimate of $142 for a round trip from the airport to uop. when is your flight scheduled to arrive? maybe we can share the shuttle and split the cost. I'm also thinking of renting a car, but i haven't checked the cost.

Are you flying with Southwest? My flight arrives at 8:10. I checked with supershuttle. They charge $63 one way and each additonal guest $8. So that's $126 for a roundtrip, so about $71 for two people. What do you think? It's nice to have a companion...I'm actually a bit scared about going there by myself without a car.

it's Aloha. their earliest arrival time is 9. i might fly southwest and get there at 8 just to be safe for any delays. the shuttle sounds good. i'll send you a pm.

Any one being put on hold? I just got a letter stating my file is on hold. They wouldn't tell me why. A friend with similar stats got an interview, so I don't know why.

3.46 overall
3.25 science

Congrats to those that got an interview

I am on hold too...they said that their interview spots were all filled (back in November) and that they would review my apps again in feb/march when there would be openings. good luck but don't bank on it; people have said it sounds like a waitlist.

I received this letter yesterday, 2 days after I called them to check on the status of my app. I guess they didn't like me calling them. Who knows. They wouldn't tell me why they placed me on hold. My GPA isn't the greatest, but I think it's competive enough. Screw them. I got an interview to Touro though

You know...the same EXACT thing happened to me.....I wonder if they send that letter to just get you off their backs??? 😀
Did you have an interview??
Also, it seems like you are also going to school in the bay area like me?? Familiar with Durant and Telegraph are we?

are you both tier 2????
b/c i'm tier 2 as well, and i haven't gotten a letter yet. que pasa?!?!?!?

No, I was late tier 1.

i find the shuttle and taxis a big hassle. You have to come within a time limit plus the stress of not knowing if you'll be there on time.

Renting a car is the way to go. Just get a map and know the directions!
No worries about whether you'll get there on time. Plus, you can drive to any place to eat near the school and wait in your car and relax before the interview.
