Wait listed in the middle portion for UOP. Chances are slim to none 🙁 At least i got one acceptance so far.

Where did everyone go?............Brazil?.....Carnaval?......It has been another day in paradise! Just don't subsitute anti-anxiety meds with antidepressants.........

Any statistics on UOP waitlisted or rejecting students? 😴

The lastest figures indicate between 5-10 people were pulled off the waiting list - If anyone can support those figures or update the numbers please advise us. 🙂

I think negatively, too. yeah....they only accepts 100 outside of their pre-pharm program. I am in the top portion but I think my chance is slim. I have been accepted to Purdue but....still waiting for UOP b/c it's so close to my home......>.<

Guys, forget about the negative thoughts - they only attract negative consequences - think positive! It tends to attract better ones, OK!

Here is the scoop. UOP has 200 spots for Pharm.D program. 90-110 of these can be given to UOP Pre-pharmacy graduates.

Currently all spots have been filled - they have all received acceptance letters. Though there are always some that reject their spots for one reason or another.

As per SDN 9 students have rejected their spots as yet - and I am sure a few more will reject from the pool of accepted applicants. Only time will tell.

It is a waiting game - some students tend to change their mind as the matriculation date nears.

Don't lose hope - have faith! Stay focused on whatever you are doing - if in school concentrate on your finals - you GPA is crucial!

If you are just waiting around and completed your pre-reqs - I hope you are working in a pharmacy and learning more about the pharmacist profession and acquainting yourselves with as many medication names/dosages as possible.

Worrying yourselves into a dark hole is not the solution!

Most of us may have to reapply! Good luck everyone. 🙂

I send in my updated transcript back in January. The only pre-req I have left is public speaking and that will be done by next week.

I sent in my updated winter quarter grades with the waitlist form. I also finished my last pre-req in the winter quarter.

Stop beating yourself to death.....like a dead horse! Life goes on....to succeed in life you must try and try again!

It is an extremely competitive and massive pool of ppl applying to pharmacy schools.

This is my first year applying. I am on two wait lists. The fact of the matter is only so many students can matriculate with thousands applying!

It is the norm not to get in in the first two or maybe three tries, as one Adcom Administrator hinted.

You have to show motivation, commitment and the potential drive to become a pharmacist. That is what they are seeking. So clean it up and re-apply with confidence. That is the trick word...........confidence.


I know you all heard this line before......but the requirements are the same all over and they aren't gonna change overnight. Stand tall and be positive.
You will be proud you stuck with it.

On the other hand the Universities know you are re-applying and are looking for a good-fit profile that makes you stand out among the herd of applicants!

"When the going gets tough.....the tough re-apply!"

Recently Eskylama was accepted: she provided me with the following UOP requirements:

1. Health history and physical examination
2. Tuberculosis clearance (PPD test)
3. Measles, Mumps, Rubella - MMR

I had a loooonggg conversation w/ Veronica about admission to T.J. Long

-No one has cancelled.

-The trend is that last year.....it was the same situation cancellations came in June and they only took a few off the waiting list. Its getting more and more competitive. I COULD HAVE APPLIED 4 YEARS AGO W/ THE MINIMAL RQUIREMENTS-I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BY NOW!!!!!!!!!!! AHHH! 😡😡😡 Thats just the way things work.

-She said the only HOPE is if students from their own program dont meet the requirement.....and then again thats only like 5 ppl w/ a miracle.

- I am in the process of re-applying FOR THE 3rd TIME-I FEEL LIKE SUCH A LOSER!

All we can do is re-apply. What I feel like:


Sitting on this barstool talking like a damn fool
Got the twelve oclock news blues
And Ive given up hope on the afternoon soaps
And a bottle of cold brew

BanBidil you are too wise to quit now! Believe me I cannot tell you how many sleepless nights, migraine headaches, and a sleugh of gut wrenching pains I have endured...........and it is still not over!

But this is what brings the toughness out of us. Compare it to the process of hardening steel.............you make it red hot and then you beat it hard with the good old sledge hammer and you repeat this process a few times till you achieve the right configuration in metallurgy.

Now on our end this is the acid test! We have to endure the pain now and accept it because once over this hump we can prove we are fit for such a rigorous course that will really hurt and burn just as bad...maybe worse for some!

Come july there will be more than five people off the waitlist - last month just from SDN we know three got pulled so as people send in their transcripts and finalize their acceptance registration I know more will change their mind - for a fact!

I would definitely recommend reapplying in the meantime. Hope this helps.

Yes, I am reapplying. Supplemental App will have some minor changes. Talk to any counselor in Admissions regarding your suppl app.
Though if you are in the neighborhood UOP is holding an information session on how to fill the supplemental app on June 23 - this Saturday!
