i say liars!
I heard during their interviews, they bring out a goat and a knife, and ask you to sacrifice it for the UOP Gods. And if you don't do it... well, let's just say that you won't be going to dental school for a LONG TIME... and somehow you get Herpes. I swear... that's a true story I made up.

I know it to be a fact that there have been zero interview invites. So those people are not telling the truth or are confused. End of thread.

Are you saying you wouldn't take an acceptance at UoP just because of price? I agree that price is an important factor in deciding what school to attend but I think UoP is a great school and would go there in a heartbeat if I was accepted.Just a question, but why would you, or anyone for that matter, want to go to UOP? Their tuition is like 50 grand a year, not including fees that will/can easily bump that up to 75. Is your GPA really that low?

Yeah, I am saying I would turn them down in a heartbeat if they accepted me , but then again, I would never apply to such a school. There is simply no way I want to pay off 250 grand when I know I can get the same deal for 100 to 150 MAX. You must be really desperate if you apply to a school like that (i.e NYU, Tufts, Boston) because dental schools are way less costly in general if you have a 3.5+ GPA (except for possibly if you're out-of-state). In fact, I am willing to bet no one at NYU has a GPA above 3.5, otherwise they wouldn't be there.
It is expensive but you are done in 3! If you are young, then time is not an issue, but when you are old, then saving a year can be worth the extra cash spent. If I fail to get into a TX school, then any out of state school will be expensive. So, I rather spend a little more and get done earlier. If I was younger, I would agree with you...only to be young again. 🙄
Yep.Please pardon my ignorance, I didn't know it was a 3-year DDS program, and the only one in the US at that, until I looked just now. In that situation, it's worth every penny. I will sell my soul to graduate a year earlier.
On a separate note, I wonder what the stress there is like though. 4-year was unimaginable from what I've read...but 3? Apparently I didn't know there is more than 24 hours in a day. Anyone care to emphasize?
yea, lets hope so. To the ppl that got interviews, did ur app. get sent out the June 9th? cause thats the earliest batch.

I doubt it because mine was verified on 05/28 and sent out on 06/16.
But, I think mine may have been pushed back a little because of new revision which was sent out on 06/30.
yea, thats what im saying. Maybe they juss got through the first batch sent on 6/9 and then the 6/16 and so on will be next.
OK. Mine finally says "File is in Review." Time to pray!![]()
Yes, they changed the App fee from No to Yes and filled out the Letters of Evaluation section with the initials of each evaluator.
ahh thanks REH! now i'm worried that they didn't receive any of my stuff...time to contact uop 🙁
