Hello. I check the UoP website and it says 4semester or 6quarter classes of biology for pre-req.
this is the only school that requires extra bio. why is it? is UoP the only school? all other schools are 1yr of bio and UoP seems like it is 2yrs of bio.

It's not the only school. Off the top of my head, BU requires 12 semester hours of bio.

Interesting topic, I looked at this too but didn't raise much of an eyebrow at it. I figured the credits in bio could be just about anything, didn't have to be some advanced course on genetics or histology; I'm a history major currently, but have A&P, Micro, Pharmacology, etc, hoping those would work fine. I'm curious if biochemistry would also count as a bio class for UoP.

that is definately true, but im already done... I could take it at CC though if i want.. hmmm you think it is a worth of effort to take 1yr extra bio to apply UoP?

Biochem will count if you took it through the Bio department, as is my understanding. If it was taken through the Chem department it would count as a chem class, but call the school for sure.

they (UoP) give you the benefit of the doubt and a lot can count for bio such as A&P. when i was confused if i had met the lab requirements i called and they said "well, you have good grades and your bio DAT speaks for itself so your fine, don't worry about taking anymore bio." the schools aren't trying to make you take a bunch of extra stuff they just wanna know you can hack the first intense year of didactics.
