Hi all, so i am in the last quarter of sophmore year at a top university. My cgpa is a 3.2 and my science is about a 3.0. I want to go to med school straight outa college ideally which means come next june i have to do the amcas. So my question, how much time do i have to raise my gpa? Are the last grades that appear on the amcas the spring term of junior year grades? If so hten that only givesme a year to rasise my gpa 🙁

Whatever grades are on your official transcript when you send them to AMCAS are the grades that are on AMCAS.

You can update schools later or send in your application later. However applying late could hurt you. And some schools won't look at any updates after your primary and secondary application is complete. That is, your interview decisions will likely be made on the grades on your primary application. This may vary between schools but this is how I understand it.

If you are applying to go straight out of college, the last grades that will be on your transcript will be spring of junior year. If you want to have your senior grades included, you would be taking a year off between college and med school.

If I am taking a course in summer before senior year starts, will I be able to update schools later on in August/September when summer grades come out?

yea you can update schools whenever you want. But if your file is complete, they can make a decision on your app whenever they get around to it. They aren't going to wait to make a decision b/c you are taking a summer course.
