Update Letter Post Interview?

I did my interview last week and they said decisions would be ideally sent out in 3 weeks. I have some significant updates (Grades, Pub, and ECs) since my initial submission but didn't talk about all of them during the interview.

I wanted to know when would be a good time post-interview to send an update letter if at all or if you should only send a letter of interest? I also already sent a thank letter to my interviewers a few hours after my interview to the admissions office that they confirmed they would pass on to the faculty. Thank you guys for any help!

If you're going to send an update, you could do it now or save it for in case you wind up on the waitlist. The ECs are almost certainly irrelevant. The grades are only relevant if your GPA is on the low side and the new grades demonstrate an upward trend. So it really comes down to what that pub is and if you had a chance to mention it already in the interview.

Thank you for your advice! My undergraduate grades are not great but I did great in an SMP which I just finished last semester. Would it be advisable to send 1 update letter about the grades and publication now and then have a letter of interest ready if I get waitlisted?
