I'm currently writing update letters to send out, and I'm wondering whether I should include an explanation of my current course load (which changed significantly to more rigorous classes from the time I submitted my applications), and sharing the Spring 2026 classes I've registered for? Any insight would be appreciated!

Are your grades in yet?

No, and they won't be in until January. I do have another significant update to provide right now though, so I was wondering if I should also mention that my courses this semester are different from what they were reported on my AMCAS submission.

If your update is primarily academic focused, wait for your grades. Nobody cares about your level of rigor unless you succeeded in them.

My update is a publication. I decided to just leave off the class changes for now. Maybe I'll send another update in January once my grades are in. Thanks for your help!

That's fine, though based on where you're interviewing I doubt there is any significant concern about your academics, so it's questionable whether a second academic-focused update is really warranted or necessary.

I appreciate the insight! I'll leave the grades update until LOI time rolls around.
