My cycle thus far is two Rs and silence from everyone else, including all my IS schools. In my secondaries, for all the schools that had it, I mentioned a new job I was being trained for and began in July within an emergency department. It is direct patient care and I explained in that section what the job entails, what I’m being trained for, and the patient interaction I will be having.

I have now worked just under 100 hours and am truly enjoying the work. I was wondering if it’s critical for me to send an update letter displaying my hours and explaining what I’ve gained from it so far. Considering how quiet it’s been, should I write something up and send it to each school that’s allows updates? Thanks in advance !

This is unlikely to move the needle towards interviewing an applicant. Just my thoughts.

Put yourself in the shoes of adcoms. You're reviewing thousands of applicants. Do you think an applicant sharing they accumulated more hours and nothing else is going to impress you?
