I assume that an updated med school transcript will replace the old one on ERAS and be downloaded by the programs I applied to.

I also assume that a number of programs have hidden my application "based on" a mistake on my old transcript.

Can I email and ask those programs to have another look at my application?

What about the programs that have hidden my application and not sent a rejection email?

Can I just send an email to all the programs I applied to notifying them of the change?

If there was an error on your transcript (an incorrect grade, for example), then programs might have rejected you, or put your application into an inactive status. In that case, they will not see your transcript. It will be delivered by ERAS but they have moved on to new applicants to review.

You would need to email/contact programs and alert them that there was an error on your transcript, and ask them to re-review it. You can ask your medical school to attach a letter to your transcript explaining that the mistake was theirs (if that was the case).

Building on what APD said: if this is an error that your school committed, I think you need to press your dean's office to try and contact the programs on your behalf explaining the error.
