My MSPE letter was uploaded back in September...but since then I have received some really good evaluations that I would like to include in the comments section. I have an interview next week - I am pretty sure the program won't upload the new MSPE letter, as it was uploaded a while back. Is it appropriate to bring an updated MSPE letter with the comments from the recent rotations or is this not commonly done?

Thanks

Our school does not update MSPE. They suggest that if you get comments from an attending after the MSPE, have that attending write a LOR and then upload it. I would not recommend bringing a copy of anything with you to an interview. I doubt comments made by a couple of attendings over a two month period will make or break your spot in a residency program.

There's a reason why you should get important rotations done by mid October.

Don't bring it. When would you whip it out? In an interview? Bother the PC with it?

To be honest, I've seen PCs and PDs accept extra letters or whatnot on the interview day, and they just stick it in the file. Not sure if they will ever read it though. I doubt that it really bothers them that much, unless you force them to read it on the spot.

Agree with above. Forget about it.
