Updates beyond Grades?

As the majority are out of school by now, what further updates can we offer besides academic ones?? Is anyone like me and hesitant to join new organizations/activities based on the fact that we are hoping to leave all of those behind in 2-3 months??? Are additional LOR's any good? How are people contacting the ADCOMs weekly? With what?
