Updating grades received for current classes after submitting on amcas

Hi guys,

I had three "current classes" at the time I submitted my amcas application and transcripts. Now I have received the grades for the classes. Should I send a new transcript to amcas again?

I did not put any grades on amcas when I submit but I did have the classes in there.

If you've already been verified, AMCAS will not update your application to reflect new grades the way that AACOMAS does.

My application is still in the line for verification. It is not yet verified. Would sending them the new transcript help?

I don't believe so. Once you hit submit its pretty much game over.

You can use your current grades to update schools with if you end up on a wait list. Otherwise a few more credits probably aren't going to budge your GPA enough to make a difference.

If the new grades would make a big difference, call AMCAS tomorrow and ask if the first transcript could be held pending arrival of the second. I'm not optimistic the answer will be yes, but if you don't ask, you won't know.

Are you expecting to be verified at any time (according to the timeline provided by catzzz88's graph at http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=928300 ) or will it be awhile yet?

Thanks everyone! I have just called and they said they can't do anything. I'll simply contact the schools directly..

I have a related question. I haven't submitted yet but I have all my transcripts sent. When I sent them I was enrolled in orgo 2, thinking that I would submit prior to finishing the course. Do I have to resend my school transcript with the orgo2 grade prior to submission? Or can I send it as an update?
