So, like many others, I am faced with this semester's grades -

Final Grades:

BIOL 460: Human Genetics (3.0) B
B M B 401: Biochemistry I (2.0) A-
PHIL/STS 432: Medical Ethics (3.0) A
MICRB 201: Microbiology (3.0) B
PSY 201W: Psych Methods (3.0) B

Semester GPA: 3.29

Should I update. My GPA is a 3.24 but the last few semesters before that were above a 3.3-3.4. Would this semester hurt me or help due to the A- in biochem?

Thanks guys!

Are you still waiting for PCOM? Is that why you are worried? I think your grades are good and an A- in biochemistry is great, so don't be ridiculous.😛 (Why is it only two credits though?) Go ahead and send your transcript to AACOMAS to update this semesters grades. Good luck!😀 :luck:

I misspoke -- I meant will this semester help or hurt me? and then I meant to point at the A- as a good thing while the other B's are not-so-good.

Anyway, I am excited to update AMCAS b/c I had a 2.99 Science GPA for AMCAS and this will surely push me over 3.0 🙂 🙂

Those are all respectable grades, and it shows that you are continuing to receive good grades in upper level classes. I think it could only help to update.

As long as it doesn't dramatically pull down your GPA, then you are fine. The grades are good. It should help your science GPA too.🙂
