I have a question-I want to send an update email to my LOR writers. So far, as a reapp, I have gotten 1 interview so far, 1 hold, and no response from a bunch of med schools. Should I do it?

I feel so bad that I have ruined the trust again they have in me with my cycle so far but I also want to be transparent. If I do another one, they are the only people I can reach for an LOR.
I hate this so much 😭

It would be a courteous thing to keep your references in the loop, especially if you wind up planning on a reapplication. You might as well let people know.

You are exaggerating when you say you ruined their trust they have in you. Many already know how challenging the admissions process is, especially if they wrote you a letter in a previous cycle before.

You are totally right! I want them to know where I am in the process and be honest about this, but since I don’t have any acceptances I feel a bit guilty (idk how to explain this). But yes, this isn’t the time for that, I will send in this quick update asap! Thank you!!
