UPenn is still sending out invites

It's just not over at any medical school you're waiting for. I just had a chat with a friend who is an MS II at Upenn, who interviewed on the 1st of March last year! Plus I just got off the phone with the admissions office...

No, I didn't get one. However, I spoke with the admissions lady, who was very, very nice. She checked my status and said there is still hope.

I called them about a week ago, and the lady told me they will be finished interviewing at the end of January. I am thinking only a few more days of hope left

I knew they were still sending invites but what is really interesting to me is to hear that someone interviewed that late. I had been researching this on SDN and there was one poster who kept insisting they knew when the last day of interviews was at upenn and it was an early february date. This just goes to show that plans change in these admissions offices and/or there is a lot of bogus info floating around. I'm also happy to see that someone that interviewed that late got in since my interview is towards the end of their cycle, it seems.

The lady on the phone did say that I should hear in 2 weeks. I am guessing if I don't, then I know what that means.

i called last week and they said till the end of next week.......so if i dont hear from them by friday.......its crying time 😳 🙁

How does UPenn notify us? According to the website it's via e-mail. If it's through the mail, I swear I'll never trust anything I find online 😡

I have friends who received e-mail notifications. ( I actually also have a friend who turned down a UPenn invite). He was also e-mail notified.

The interviews are held through those months, but I think they stop giving out new interviews by the end of this month. That's the only sense I can make of the seemingly conflicted infomation. The lady on the phone definately told me all new interview invitations would be sent by the middle/end of January though.

yep. It turns into an interview scheduling page and gives you info about student hosting, parking, etc. etc.
