I don't think I'll get those manuals before class begins.. 🙁 Its such a pain living outside the U.S. I hear they prepare you for the summer course.. and I don't even know whats in them :scared: Could someone pleeeease tell me the topics discussed in general?? I can read up on them from some other text books.. I realize this has nothing to do with this thread.. hope the UPenn waiting list ppl don't mind.. but Im really nervous about showing up for the summer course unprepared and clueless about what to do.. thanks in advance, guys. 🙂

Sorry Tasha ; I did not mean to :scared: you .I just can't come up with one complete correct phrase . I guess these are my (halusinationes befor madness ) .I'll try to write the sentence again .

Once upon a time.... ,I recieved a Huge box ,it contained 8 manuals ,but THEY ARE NOT ALL HUGE .I repeat THEY ARE NOT ALL HUGE . 4 of them are very skinny ones about 60 or 70 pages , 2 are about 150 pages ,and 2 about 400 .These are just some lab manuals , so do not be :scared: .

It is just that I can't come up with one correct phrase :clap: BEE BEE BOBO BABA DADA :clap: .
 
I guess I still can count right .Lemme check :1,2,3,4,6, 8, 11, 5 , 7, 9 , 16 , 3 , 3 , 3 , 3 ,3 , 3 , 3 .

Can you Thee(See ) baby,I told you I can count right :clap: ,but I sink(think) I am just dropping some letters also .It is just a short memory loss .
 
Tasah I remembered somthing now.When the mail man came early in the morning , I was still sleeping ,so when I opend the door I did not put my eyeglasses on,coz I wanted to go back to bed .


This is why I saw the box very Huge ,but after I put my glasses on, the box looks fine to me now .Do not worry it's size looks only medium .

Whew! Thanx for that correction. Everything about the so-called 'intense' summer course is :scared: to me right now.

Short term memory loss, eh?? As long as you remember your name and what course you're taking at UPenn, its all good, the rest can be re-learnt. 😀 And have fun with your medium sized journals.. I'm pretty sure I won't get them before class starts. 🙁

No, That would be me.. 😀 I am of Indian origin, raised in the UAE, went to dental school in India and I'm now back in the UAE since my graduation.. even my origins in India are complicated which is why I did not get into it. 😀

as igpenn said before, all we are qualified candidate if we are in the waiting list.

i just wonder that there is space for us.

i did call them (Penn office) a couple of days ago & they said the adm comm has not been reviewing "wait list" applns yet.

& had no clue when wld they do that.

so as far as i m concerned i have largely given up.
yes i do stay in Philly & hence have applied only at Penn. didn't want to move out for personal reasons.

but as i can see from SDN there r loads of us on wait list.
so........ i m not sure abt myself.
all the same lets see.

Yes I did withdraw from BU. Im wondering if that was a smart thing to do because I have not received my I20 form from Penn yet.. 🙁 But I did not want to be selfish and hang onto two seats.. I know how much everyone is waiting to hear from BU.. hopefully everything will work out fine.

Yeah they said that for ppl like me who interviewed and got accepted late, they would expedite (speed up) the process.. Their exact words were: 'These days these things take about a week.'

Basically they give u a website, and u have your own code.. once u enter your code in the site u will get your application status online.. my friend received notice that his I20 was ready and shipped off to him in less than a week! Even my online status is the same.. but I haven't received anything in the mail.

Elizabeth at the OIP dept of Penn is very helpful.. nothing like getting info straight from the source.. but I hope I answered your question.

I got my ID CODE on that site also .It says that my status is "Pending " .Did you get the same message when you first entered your code???

I just wanna know if there is anything missing from my application.I know that Elizabeth is so helpfull,I gave her a headache during the few past days.

I hope what you said about getting it in a week(NO ONE TOLD ME THAT B4) is true.I do not wanna be so late .
 
I got Pending too.. that was the status for about 5 days. and now it says complete. If somethings missing, it will say so on the report, so dont worry.

I called upenn. here is what they said:
out of 3 groups, 2 of them have finished the fees deadline and so far all have been able to make it.
the last group deadline is still not finished. only if someone is not able to make it in that group they will call from the waitlist.
please do not get disheartened. i just wanted everyone of us to have a clear idea of what may happen.
she also said that in the end they send a rejection letter to make sure to us that the wait is over.

i really feel sorry to have broken that news. but i knew in what pain i was waiting for it and once i spoke to cathy and she told me the situation i was kind clear to my heart that forget it. I wanted to get into a 2 yr so i was planning to leave Uconn or NYU but now i am decided not to wait. i wish you guys get there.

things like this make you wonder if the people at the admissions office are really bunch of drunk redneck hillbillies trying to approve intl people by putting their names on a dart board.

i think it is better to leave the hopes on Upenn as not many days left for the start date. Does any one has any idea whether they took more than one from the waiiting list. I think no one would like to drop a college like Upenn.

i came back to my country after 10 days traveling around Bali island in Indonesia. i can tell you it was awesome. people were incredibly nice and their cultural power was amazing. i and my wife had a wonderful time in there.
(we seirously considered staying there forever 😀 )

i wonder if someone in the alternate status took the seat for us.
no response in this forum.

ok. i get new job in local clinic with one year contract.(i finished my 3year army stuff 🙂 )
i will definetely join the new application era.

thank you buddies for your encouragement.
let's see what a great achievement we make in next year.
