How do medical schools calculate/perceive upgraded classes. I hear they average them out... and also what if its an upgrade for a non "medical school requirement course" such as an engineering class... thanks in the advance lads
Do you mean if you take a class twice? The schools calculate both grades into the GPA as if it were two separate classes. If you took a 3-credit Chemistry course twice, got a D the first time (1.0) and a B the second time (3.0), your GPA would be [essentially] calculated as 6-credits of a C (2.0).
