UPitt: Complete -> interview invite turnaround time

Just curious what most people here have experienced.

They just told a friend of mine to hear back in a few weeks (her app was complete early dec.). Does this mean rejection in the mail or....?

if her status page online says "correspondence sent" then yes, its a rejection. They email interview invitations very very soon after you secondary is completed (sometimes even before letters of rec are recieved)

For what I've read, UPitt is known to be really quick to give interview invites. I'm not sure if the wait necessarily means rejection though.😕

The quickness of the interview invite is discouraging. But, her status page doesn't say anything about correspondence being sent. Perhaps it is still being reviewed, or something. However, this late, it seems like if there is going to be an interview invite, it would be now, not 4 weeks from now (as they said on the phone).

That doesn't bode well for me either then 🙁 🙁 🙁

i'm going to go ahead and bump this back up... for myself this time...

is the consensus that if you dont' quickly get an invite then you probably won't get one...??
