Upstate is releasing Pre-Interview Holds

For anyone who has a pre-interview hold at Upstate, it turns out that these things CAN actually be released! I was placed on hold in September (completed late August) and just got the call yesterday that they wanted to interview me. I had basically thought that pre-interview holds were synonymous with rejections, but I guess not! There is hope

Mine said re-eval "after the entire applicant pool has been reviewed." I don't think we can do anything but wait.

The pre-interview hold letter said that I would be re-evaluated after the whole pool had been evaluated. I actually sent them an update a couple of weeks ago, so that may have helped. You might want to do that.

it sounds like, with upstate, if you send them updated materials it results in your application being bumped up maybe. i saw in another thread that someone had gotten off the pre-int hold list after sending in a letter or something and that was before the deadline had even passed for applications. just speculation though.
