Hey all,

I hope everyone is well. I have been really fortunate this cycle and am truly grateful for the results. But now that the April 30th deadline is fast approaching, I am a little conflicted on which school I should choose.

I got accepted into Upstate, Einstein and Quinnipiac. All of which are offering me scholarships (Upstate and Quinnipiac are offering me full tuition and Einstein is offering a partial scholarship). I also got waitlisted at NYU and Sinai and would love to go to Sinai if accepted.

They are all pass/fail. The final school that I choose needs to have a strong SDH and public health presence in its curriculum. Not one that states that it has such integration in its curriculum but doesn't actually practice it. One that actually allows for hands on work in public health in the communities it serves.

I also do not want to be that far from my hometown (Bronx, NY). That is when I get a little bit on the fence about Upstate which a really long 4 hour drive.

What are your thoughts folks? Upstate, Einstein or Quinnipiac? Your comments and justifications are greatly appreciated!

What is the COA difference between Einstein and the other two? What about COA between Einstein and Sinai assuming no aid from Sinai?

Hmm first congrats on getting accepted and offered scholarships. That is a huge accomplishment and they're all great. All things considered, my rationale was Einstein > Upstate > Quinnipiac. Einstein and Upstate are the more established schools among the three and have more name recognition within the Northeast region than Quinnipiac. Einstein is ranked higher higher than the other two which basically means more money for research if that is something you are interested. In terms of SDH and public health, I can't speak too much about that but I do know that Montifiore is an great hospital and has a lot of ties within the local community. Also it's in the Bronx, which is close to your home.

Over 4 years here are the approximate cost of attendances for each school:
Sinai (assuming no scholarship): about $320,000
Einstein: $189,000
Upstate: $25,000
Quinnipiac: $80,000

Considering the price I'd go Einstein. Best value imo
