It looks like I'll have a 3.3 by the time I graduate. I really really messed up my freshman year classes which messed up my GPA. Basically from freshman year on I've had about a 3.5-3.7 semester GPA each time.

With this GPA would I still have a shot at Temple? Will they only see the GPA or will they take into account the upward trend?

Thanks!

They will definitely take into account an upward GPA trend, they did for me and it was specifically brought up by my interviewer, albeit briefly. A larger component though is presumably the MCAT, since they weight their first year scholarships decisions 2/3 toward MCAT and 1/3 toward GPA.

Schools will take into account upward trend. Also be aware of AACPM not doing grade replacement so the app's calculated GPA may be lower than your school's calculation.

If you can blow your MCAT out of the water (500+) then it should be no problem.

Cool beans, thanks! Yeah the 3.3 cGPA estimation is with them not doing grade replacement. If they did it would definitely be around 3.5 probably (maybe)
