I have an interview with UQ on the 19th by phone. As I've been checking out the various sites it seems that most people had a question about health issues in queensland. Does anyone have any good online resources that will give me some background information on the types of issues that they will be looking for.
Thanks
Scott

they have changed the structure of the interview a little this year and i was not. asked about problems that affect australia. i was asked about problems that face medicine in general. good luck with your interview

Was the rest of the interview similar to what I've heard from previous years with defining a couple terms, interpreting a story and then a debate section?

Thanks for any information and hopefully I'll see you in class in a few months 🙂

no you do not need to worry about defining a term, interpreting a story or anything like that. pretty much you will be interviewed by two people that just want to get to know you, so they will be asking a lot of basic questions then asking you to ellaborate on some of your answers. dont stress about the interview, the interviewers are really nice and i am sure you will do fine. good luck!

I just had my interview last night, and although it said it was going to last between 30-40 minutes, it was probably only 20.

I felt that it went alright, the interviewers were laughing at points and I did not get held up for any lenght of time.

Did anyone else found that it went a little short?

I would hope that they got all that they needed to know in the 20 minutes, but whether that was enough to say congradulations or kick my rear to the curb I have no idea.

Any thoughts?

Mine was only short I think that if you had a good interaction with them that should be more than enough time

I think then it may be that phone interviews are different. I've been able to confirm that domestic students still apparently have the 'tests'.

Im a domestic student and I def had the tests they called them games for me to play though!!! 🙂

I had mine a while ago (3rd week of september). It was the most realxing interview I ve ever had.
It was very personal. The interviewers were very friendly, asking about my hobbies and my family, and why did I study specifically Neurobiology, how do I deal with stress, would I be able to stay away from my family for this long, and how was my financial situation.
So no stressing about this interview.
Good luck
