pd1112 Full Member 10+ Year Member May 29, 2015 #4 What? Urea is a nitrogen compound. An infusion could have any concentration. POsm = 2[Na] + [glucose]/18 + [BUN]/2.8 In general, urea has minimal effect on osmotic gradient because it freely distributes between ECF & ICF. Upvote 0 Downvote
