Hey guys im applying to med schools right now and I have taken the following chemistry courses

general inorganic- 4 credits
physical chemistry- 3 credits

organic chemistry-5 credits
organic chemistry 2- 5 credits

biochemistry-3 credits

*these include relevant labs, except for biochem and pchem

My general chemistry course is only 4 credits because I transferred schools so i moved from a quarter system to a semester system. I'm having serious problems though because my concern is that I don't have enough inorganic chemistry to fulfill the requirements. Does anyone know if schools look at total number of chemistry credits, or am I in trouble with the classes I have. I know this is a question for the schools- but I'm in an extra lab for gen chem hoping to get 1 more credit but have until tmrw to drop. I will be calling schools tomorrow but its pretty hard to speak to an admissions advisor because normally i'm greeted with just secretary. Appreciate the speedy and candor reply

Almost all med schools will not count the number of credit hours of a particular pre-req that you have taken, rather they focus on the number of semesters of each subject completed. You should have two sems of lecture and lab each (total four sems) to fulfill the gen chem requirement.
