I'm licensed in NY but moving to Cali. I'm going through the ridiculous process of all the paperwork and I'm wondering... what is the point of transferring my license over compared to just applying for the license there? It seems to be more paperwork because they need forms to verify/endorse from my state, work resume, etc. Any feedback would be great. Thank you so much.

Looks like you need 4 items to complete your application? That's "ridiculous"? Doesn't seem so to me.

I'm moving soon and was clearly in a bit of a panic there; Cali Board also never picks up phone calls for some reason. But you're right Jess the process wasn't bad at all. Thanks for checking.

So what was easier justin, transferring your license or applying for their state license?

Hey Hopeful,

You should transfer your license. This way you can prove you passed NPTE and can work right away when application gets processed.
