hello...i'm an undergraduate student who will be applying to medical schools in two years. i have a 4.0 gpa and have been doing pretty well in practice MCATs (35+)...however, my extracurricular activities are a little bit lacking...i've done research and have shadowed physicians but thats pretty much it..
could you please give me a list of the types of medical and non-medical activities that you've done?

thanks so much

this doesn't seem "urgent" (unless you urgently needed your ego stroked...)

just use the search fx

there is soooo much on this site of EC's, just look

Clinical experience. Start working at your community hospital or clinic.

1. look up the meaning of urgent.

2. start clinical volunteering. do habitat for humanity on weekends. find a school club you like and get involved. plan a marathon to raise money for charity or a blood drive or a bake sale. there is lots to do. just do it.

...looks at GPA...4.0, wow thats nice, although kid is probably an insecure douche gunner to post it.

*thinks*...wait a second..."brownisawesome"

meh...no big deal, Brown is joke of the ivies and notorious for grade inflation

...also, kid is definitely a gunner

Second time in one day I have quoted you DrArete, you must think the same as I do.

Lose that 4.0 and do something "different" enjoy college, volunteer, hang with friends, drink a beer, a 3.7 with incredible E.C's is a step ahead of you in being accepted.

Normally, I don't encourage underage kids (i.e., sophomores are usually 19-20 y/o) to drink a beer but, seriously, if this is "urgent" to you... DRINK A FRICKIN' BEER!

here's an after school activity for you: get a girlfriend 😀

Its the poor guys first post. How about us veterans give him a break until he learns the ropes. And to answer your question, work at a hospital etc, just use the search function.

Go volunteer doing something you like. It could be anything.

BTW, why are you doing practice MCATs when you will be applying in two years? I'm a fan of taking the MCAT early but you don't want it to expire (or you're studying waaaaay too early). Freshmen shouldn't be doing practice MCATs.

You time your MCAT studying so that when you're at your very peak, you take the real thing and get the real numbers....so don't study ahead for 2 yrs.

35's on the practice MCATs and you're applying in two years? Sounds like a troll lol
