Hi all,

I'm interviewing at a bunch of schools and have had to miss over 2 weeks off school which is hurting me in one of my classes. What would the effect be if I drop it and take again next quarter when I have more time and I can focus on it? Would that hurt me at schools I already interviewed at? Would they take away acceptances I recieved?

Thank you!!!

I think it will take more than just that to withdraw an acceptance. I know someone who was forced to drop an upper bio elective cuz of the same reasons. He retook a different elective the spring since he needed it to graduate but didnt hurt any acceptance.

If you have acceptances, you could be a bit pickier about interviews. I know that sucks, but that could help.

I doubt any school would rescind due to withdrawing from a class. As long as it is completed next semester (definitely if it is a prereq, it needs to be), then you should be alright.

Things change: activities (ongoing or planned), classes, etc. I doubt schools care that much.

This is all speculation. If you are really concerned, call the schools you were accepted at and ask if withdrawing from a class would lead them to rescind your offer.

Just don't get below a C or commit a crime.

I love this line, instant new motto  👍

Thank you guys for your help. I just called the school with an acceptance and they said it should be no problem. I'll just retake the class in winter quarter.

Good luck to you all!
