URM in SMP or Post-baccs?

Hey guys,

What would be the best post-bacc programs (academic enhancer) and SMPs for students of color? Any advice is much appreciated!

Look into the one at Wake Forest. It's a one year post-bac with a linkage program into WFUSM the following year if all requirements are met.

Yea I really like the Wake Forest post-bacc, but unfortunately they only accept 10 students!

I did the UPenn post-bac. It's a very diverse program and everyone's pretty welcoming.

Yes. Most definitely PM and I'll tell you all about it. They have two tracks - one for career changers and one for those wishing to boost their application.

The UMDNJ SMP is very diverse and they provide great guidance during your application process. You will find very supportive programs at both the Newark and Stratford campuses.

I'm currently doing Post-Bac at UT Dallas. Pretty solid program and less expensive than Columbia where I was going to go originally. Although I believe Columbia has some linkages with possibly Brown and a few other schools (but not their own med school P&S- kinda weird). I've had wonderful a wonderful experience at UTD...great professors, advising commitee...highly recommend their program.
