US med schools vs overseas

I am a junior at some college and I am freaking out about what to do for med school. I could apply here to all 198 med schools, or be easily accepted to an overseas school starting in the Fall. I would save a full year, I mean after you get your MD degree, no one cares where you did your bachelors. Both of my parents are doctors and they both have oversea MBBS degrees and are doing fine here. If they could do it, I am guessing so can I. I mean I would save a full year. If you guys had a choice what would you do?

Actually there are only 146 medical schools 126 Allo + 20 Osteo

i would still try to go to us med school. have you considered saving a year and go to an us school? are your grades bad or something? why settle for overseas when you have a chance here in the us?

I think my grades are bad, overall gpa 3.4 and sci 2.9, haven't taken the mcat yet. I am just scared. What if I don't get in? OMG how are you guys handling all this? I can't even sleep at night anymore, I dream MCAT, school, interviewers laughing at my gpa, GOD help me.

we dont have the energy to worry about this every damn day.

i think we'd be burned out by the time we start med school if we worried all the time.

what grade are you in by the way? the scigpa isnt too hot but if you have to time to bring that over a 3.0 and do well on your mcats i think you can competitive for a med school.

I am taking bio chem, phys and immunobiology right now, so good grades in all of those should help. I took these classes to keep mcat material fresh in my mind. ( I am actually studying for my first bio chem exam for tomorrow, wish me luck.) My advisor is saying the same thing, to get my sci gpa up, I am really trying. I guess that is all you have to do.
