Does anyone know if USAA gives an extremely low interest loan to USUHS students like they do at the service academies?

it's not a loan specific for USUHS students, but rather it's for newly commissioned officers. I got it way back when I was an O-1. It was wonderful, used it to pay off my credit cards! (If you're already gotten it at an academy, I doubt they'll let you have it again. But doesn't hurt to ask).

by the way, if I recall correctly, the Navy Mutual Aid Association (NMAA) life insurance program has a similar deal. where' theyll give a very low interest loan (if you're newly commissioned). You do have to buy into their life insurance policy, which isn't bad. It's rates are reasonable.
