Usc aspid application 2011

I took toefl in december 2008. If I take it again for applying to USC(as they accept toefl scores after a certain date) will I have to send my new scores to all the universities that I applied to? Also,can I apply to Boston with my toefel score as nothing is clearly mentioned on their website about the toefl date.Please let me know if anyone knows how this works.Thanks

Toefl score expires automatically after 2years as said on toefl website.So I think you should take it ASAP and report thr new score so that there is no problem later on.

I think for this year if you apply before your score expires in dec. there wont be any problem. But you should talk to univ. co-ordinator and confirm he will tell you the same.
 
Thanks a lot for the reply. I am confused if I take it again will I have to send the new score to all the other schools where my old score is valid and I already applied. I would also like to know is it worth taking toefl again just to apply to USC considering the fact that they give weightage to part 2 results that I haven't taken and donot intend to take it.
As far as Boston is concerned,I already applied there through Caapid but they said they want the official report at the time of interview.I think the best way would be to call Boston admissions and ask.

Hey friends you can share your knowledge and stats which can help all of us in every aspect of application.
 
Has anyone discussed with them their proof of license requirement? It sounds like a solid requirement, but I am wondering if they do make exceptions to that. Someone recently told me that to their opinion it's not a solid must in the USC process.
I practiced before coming to the US for several years in my homecountry, but at that point they were not issuing licenses in my country. Later they established such practice, but I already lived in the US at that point, where in the meantime I even got an MS degree from USC Dental School🙂
Can anyone advise on this point?

can somebody pls enlist what documents are they sending to USC ?
it asking for TOEFL electronic report as well as a notarized copy and a personal statement again even after sending one to CAAPID ?

JUST confused......

Also what do they mean when they say dental mark sheets/ transcripts.
I have transcripts from my school , but is it okay to send just my mark sheets ?
or do i send both ?
 
I have talked to lauren over the phone and she has confirmed that we have to send both electronic as well as notarized TOEFL score report. Also you can either send transcript of marks or separate marksheets, either will do but it should be sealed and stamped from ur college.

Also they do not want any separte statement of purpose. Nowhere in there wbsite it is mentioned...

AND about application fee they didn't any particular details like...personal check or cashiers check payable to......

Well, electronic copy is the print out of the online score report.... regarding cheque, you can send them either... they won't leave your money... i guarantee....:laugh:.....but to save yourself of any more headache in this stressful application period, you should preferably send them a cashier's cheque - payable to "USC school of dentistry"......that s how i sent and it got encashed within a day....

I think their web site says 100 on ibt so may not be a good idea to apply.However wait for other people's comments too!

Guys, i think electronic copy is not the print out of online score report. We have to actually order a score report to be sent directly to that school using their toefl code. It is because when college recieve the toefl they have two options, either recieve a paper report or an electronic score reprt. This what TOEFL customer representative says. So i think with electronic reprt they meant official report only and not print out of online.

Please comment...
 
Its been over 4 weeks I sent my supplimental application materials to usc and they emailed me that they haven't recieved it yet.I am worried.Should I send another one with the fee or wait sometime more.....please advice.Rest of the schools I applied to have recieved all my materials....🙁

regarding transcripts, they are asking notarized copies.
So its okay to send photocopies of 4 years marks cards separately in sealed envelopes, is that what you mean?
Statement of purpose , i have confirmed, they will accept CAAPID one.

if you have the receipts and tracking numbers, do so and mostly if you will have a confirmation report online. Call those people till you get a correct answer from them. Its your hard earned money afterall !

guys

All you need is to send them is a sealed copy of toefl exam and thats it. I did send them that and they sent me that my application is complete. So dont worry about it, i dont even know whats an electronic copy of toefl is!!
 
Hi all,

You can send them a sealed copy or if you want to save money... and as they have mentioned on their website, send them a notarized copy of TOEFL that should not cost you more than 10 dollars... (Those of you who are AAA members.. just inquire at your local branch.. they do notarizations at an even cheaper rate)

I sent notarized one.... and I got a application complete email as well...

if u go to a local bank you don't have to spent anything for notarization.

the usc website mentions that we have to submit the application fees after submitting the caapid application...does that mean after we receive their email that the application is reviewed and complete or when we send the other additional documents to them??

also In the PASS application service the letter of evaluations in paper form, the evaluators cannot type in the pdf format...so can they write on the form?

no,you dont have to wait for their reply as they dont send any e mail until and unless our application is incomplete.so go ahead and send them all supplimental material 👍

Can anyone who have info about USC international dentist program tell me whether is a good program or not? I have heard that they are having lots of problems. Is that true?
