USC Enrollment Commitment Deposit

Hey,

So if got accepted into USC Pharmacy but you aren't going to receive notification regarding another school's acceptance/rejection until AFTER you are supposed to send out the $500 to USC to commit to the pharmacy program, are you pretty much screwed and lose your $500 if you decide to go to that other school? The deadline is Feb 26th...

Is there any way around this? Can you receive an extension on the commitment?

Yes. You'll lose your money.

You should ask USC but realistically, they do this so you don't hold your seat from someone else who is more set on going to USC.
