blin
my friend,
if you take some courses prior to test,it means that you are known,
ask your classmates ,how many of them get the pre interview classes,I think a huge percentage, right?
well
on the above all
I stated that it is a reflection of mine...
do not fire up,right away 😍😍
peace...

Dr. Moral,

I'm not quite sure what you said or are asking, but I'll try to answer. The prep classes for USC are not given by the school, or affiliated with it. They aren't even taught by a USC instructor, so no, you don't get to know the dental staff by taking one of many prep courses. They are given by private dentists all over the country.

I think UCLA may offer one that is aimed at their interview, and I have no clue about that, but not USC.

Hi ,

Does any one know long the interview will be on second day ? I was booking the flight and I was not sure at what time I should book.

Thanks

Yes I know there are several courses all over the country but the most of the candidates who take the certain courses are able to get in the program,is that right or wrong?it is not necessarily that the instructors are from usc staff or not...
for instance would you please give us some percentage of the current students, for example how many of them get ths clases, how many not etc
peace
😍

HEY docvicgre .......i m sorry but ur email id is not working I tried couple of times........if u hav some other plz provide .....so v can work forward ......thanks bye !!!! good luck ...........

I dont have percentages, but can say that taking a course like Duggan's would greatly increase your chances of doing better on the clinical exam. Even for those that are confident in your skills, you might be surprised by the expectations of an American school. Taking a course like this will show you what is expected, and provide good techniques on how to succeed. If you can afford it, I'd highly recommend it.

Plus, after taking the course, it will help smooth the transition in the first trimester, which is incredibly fast paced.

FYI: I have no affiliation with any course, and there is no interest in me recommending them except for personal experience.

Can anybody tell me how to equilibrate the typodont or where to get it done from?

I am also in the same boat female intrested in USC Room Sharing, Please PM me if any one is looking for a partner. I havent made any reservations yet.

Think they called about 150. There are about 23-26 positions. I would say 1:5 ratio of acceptance.
Out of 150, I would imagine atleast 148 will surely attend. It is so hard to get an interview and unless there are an exonarating circumstances, I dont see anyone giving up/ not attending the interviews

I bought the typodont from one of the SDN member and according to her post it is a brand new typodont. But it has filling with no 8 and the distal cusp of no 30 is missing.
Do I need to replace these teeth for USC practical exam?
Thanx

hi i think you should replace those teeth just to be safe..
I have a question too .. where are u buying teeth for typodont? And can i use the same typodont i used for my exam last year.. coz it has the red marks on the screws on the back, which the instructors had made before we start the exam.. ..

hi Perio
I have not found any dental supplier yet.
I think there is no problem if you use the same typodont, but on safer side you can get it confirmed from USC.

hi guys.. what tooth preps are routinely asked for USC practicals..any idea? And do we need to prepare offset on 3/4 th and 7/8 th crowns, as well as MOD onlays?

I have one question
If patient wants conservative and a durable restoration for a fractured mesio-buccal cusp of no 3 tooth ( no caries). The patient is also concerned about aesthetic. what can be the treatment plan?
Subh

i would do composite build up to restore the fractured mesiobuccal cusp. no crowns needed...
