usc just showed up on the portal?

hi guys,

so my aadsas portal now has usc listed as received/under review, and the date on it is 9/13...what exactly does it mean? does this imply that they're looking at my file now?

Mine showed up on AADSAS as well. On the USC website under application status it still says I'm under review. (Same status for like 3 months)

Yeah, mine showed up on aadsas this morning saying "received/application complete" and it's dated 12/9 ... which is odd, considering I applied SUPER early (1st batch). My usc portal also still says "under review." I'm not sure what's going on here. lol

so i'm inclined to believe in the "dart board theory" for admissions at this point

Yeah, I don't know. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason...it's frustrating being left in the dark despite applying very early. Oh well, just gotta be patient and optimistic.

Well, the fact that someone on this forum reported getting an interview despite the fact that they did not even submit their DAT scores and supplemental fee would support the dart board theory for getting an interview.

I sent them my check in early july and they just showed up on aadsas. Should've listened to that nagging voice in my head saying that the 80 dollars would be better spent elsewhere.

i called and booked my interview for feb8 and all went well so.... wtf haha

i was debating if i should still send them in or save my money, afterall i got the interview date confirmed

i was thinking they must have been desperate for applicants but looks like there are a lot of you who applied and are probably more qualified so... whats going on :/

its not like they have NO idea what my DAT scores are, there is an unofficial self-report for Canadian scores, but still, USC reviewed my app for free lol

i didn't think i was going to apply this cycle. i took my DAT again at the end of july and did alright (what you saw on pre dents)....and i decided that i might as well at least try and apply this time around and hope that the academic update from my masters prog would help
