I know this is probably aimed for pre-medical students, but did anyone apply and got accepted into the program? I just got accepted!

Would you mind sharing what your stats were applying for the program?! I'm thinking about doing it 2018-2019! What was the process like? And do you think it's competitive? When do you recommend to start applying?

Keep in mind I'm pre-dental. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.26 and science GPA of 3.08. My DAT score: 21 AA/ 20 PAT/ 20 TS.

Good luck when you apply!! Overall application is easy. There is a general online application. There wasn't really a process. I had my LORs already for dental school, so I used those for this application since you are able to. The important part are the short answer questions & the personal statement. They have a clinical track and a management track, you have to state which one you're interested in. I'm not sure if it is competitive (because I don't know too much) but since most students are pre-medical/ pre-dental, it probably is. Apply as early as possible because it is rolling admissions. I believe I applied very early, so it only took about a month to hear back. There are no interviews. I think it starts in January, so start applying in January!

Oh thank you!! Are you getting into the fall session? And if so, does that mean you applied in January for the fall session? Do you also know if the classes that are being taken at the USC's Keck medical school? Or on the actual campus of USC? Sorry for the many questions!! I'm so interested in this program and I only hope to get in!

So I submitted my application in the middle of January, and it's for the fall semester. So if you are planning to do 2018-2019, you would apply next January! Take your MCAT before then because a test score is required. I believe for the clinical track, you take the core curriculum courses with medical students so classes start earlier than when other classes starts. It's courses MED 503 & 504 (if you look at the website). You take classes with med students so it should be on their Health Sciences Campus, which is where the LAC + USC hospital is at. They offer housing near this campus, so I would assume all the other classes you take would be on this campus and not the main one near Exposition Park.

I'm glad you're interested in this program!! If you have any more questions, I'd be happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge!

So you heard around February after you applied in January? Oh my gosh that's so exciting dude... yeah I'm gonna take my MCAT this September, and start prepping for the application. Are you doing clinical track? Also, do you think this program is competitive? After reading a bunch of threads, I haven't heard someone get rejected... I have a 3.26 right now, finishing my junior year in college, but I'm hopefully shooting to go higher when I finish my senior year.

Yes, it took about a month to hear back. I am doing the clinical track, after confirming it with the office since they don't tell you in the acceptance letter. I think it is competitive, but at the same time, I think they expand their class size each year. I would call the office since I heard they really do answer your questions and are really friendly! I would keep in mind that not 100% of the applicants are on SDN. Best of luck to the remainder of your undergraduate career! It's going to go by so fast :X

is there a way to pull your letters off AADSAS?
No 🙁 I don't think there is a way because the program is not linked in any way with their dental school
I used Interfolio though

(I know BU OHS program can pull your LOR from AADSAS if you applied to their dental school)

Is it possible to complete the program during a gap year? I'm also a pre-dental student.

All I know is the program is from August- August. In my opinion, yes it is possible but some dental schools start early so you may not be able to finish your program. I guess it also depends on the dental school you will be attending after the program. I'm no expert so I would ask the Global Medicine office.

Thanks for the insight!

I thought it starts summer, fall, or spring? Multiple start dates? Or just fall..

Whoops. Yeah, you're right, the program is also offered in the Summer I term as far as I can see on their Liaison application.
Now I feel so stupid LOL I don't think I saw it when I applied :bang:

Does anyone know the matriculation rates after this program (dental school)? I read some threads on sdn and there are mixed reviews. If anyone else has any information, it would be greatly appreciated!
