So, I did not get the space I wanted when I applied for On-Campus Housing at USC. I'm not entirely sure how to go about apartment hunting in LA.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to where the best areas/buildings/etc are for living? Preferably somewhere close to HSC. I guess, where do most pharmacy/USC students live? I won't be able to actually look for a place until later in the summer because I don't live in CA, so this is why I need the heads up 🙂

Also, would getting a parking permit be worth it for the first year? Or would the bus system suffice for transportation?

You didn't get a spot in Seaver Hall?

I did 😕

Supposedly, there is suppose to be a lot of space because not many grad students use those dorms.

I actually didn't apply for Seaver because it was dorm 😳 And I wasn't sure if I wanted to live in a dorm again... 🙁

Where did you apply for?

I kind of have that same iffy feeling about living in dorms again too....

Oh well 😛

I applied for grad housing (Fairmont, Twin palms, seven gables, Univ Regent, and Troyland) and got placed in Terrace--which is mainly for law students--in a 2 bedroom 4 person apartment. Terrace wasn't even on my list of preferences, so I'm not sure what happened...I might call them back and ask what are my chances of being placed in Seaver. If it's very slim, then I'll need to figure out the whole off-campus situation pretty soon.

So when did you apply for the Seaver Residence Hall? I just recently received an email from Peter Dean regarding housing not too long ago.
