USC Second Round??

Anyone know when we should hear back(or hear back yet)?

I interviewed really early in October but didn't get in the first round.
 
im pretty sure these already went out - i'm waiting to hear back too
 
if it helps, i called this morning and was told the class is only roughly 50% full at the moment

really? I called in January and was told the 2nd round would be given out in the beginning of feb. Doesn't seemed like anyone recieved any post dec1 acceptances on predents

Dent, do you know if that 50% is including the 2nd round of acceptances or just the dec1?

I was told it's only the first Dec 1 round.
 
not sure to be honest. regardless... if you havn't been accepted you are in the running for the other 50%
 
hopefully thats including the 2nd batch of acceptances which should be coming soon. I remember them saying something like initial acceptances(dec1) only fill up 25% of the class.

I interviewed there at the beginning of the month and they said the 2nd round would go out end of february... and that as of right now the class is only a quarter full

Good to know, because when I called Will told me it’s half full. But I guess brian’s info is more reliable.
 
last round of interviews were sent out today.

I got dates:

Feb 25
March 11
March 18

Called up 5 mins after getting it and only March 18 is available so i expect this to be the last of it.

What makes you say this is the 'last round of interviews' being sent out?

I just didn't expect them to give out more because that would push the dates into April & May.. which is super late in the cycle. But I see someone called and said that they are still giving out more so thats a good thing! 👍 If thats true I retract my previous statement.
 
I called yesterday and was told that they are still sending out interviews, but it is being done more sporadically. Its not as well defined and not in bulk. Soooo..... I'm still hoping I hear something from them...

once again left in the dust...FML I hate this crap. I almost feel like if you interview early, your chances are way lower if you don't make it the first round.
 
congrats to everyone that's gotten the acceptance letter! i'm currently a first yr at usc and i know the last day of the big interview groups is march 18. march 23 is a back-up day, so i'm not sure if they will still use that day or not.. hopefully this helps and i'll be seeing some of you guys in a few months! if you have any questions, just message me : )

I am in the same boat as you and couldn't agree with you more. I even called the admission office and they were rather reluctant to agree with that statement, but it is definitely true as we have even seen the same trend for USC on predents.com. So sad. I interviewed on the first day they started interviewing and have completely lost hope 🙁. Good luck. Hopefully, you will hear something soon. BTW, when did you interview?

did anyone get accepted today that interviewed on Feb 16th? and if so what group were you in?
 
got passed up again. hoping for 3rd round now. anyone know a rough estimate when that might be?
 
Got accepted but will be declining. Hopefully someone here who wants it can get it next round. I interviewed end of October FYI.
 
I just got the letter saying my application is undergoing its preliminary review :/ I turned in my application quite late but I believe I am a pretty strong applicant. I have already sent in my deposit at Loma Linda University but would still go to an interview at USC if I was invited…
How long after you received this letter did you get an interview?? Or is it too late??
