so, the instructions for the usc supp. essay questions are a bit vague in their length requirements.. the answer can't be longer than 1 paragraph but both have to be less than 2 pgs? a paragraph seems pretty short to me...just wondering how much other people are writing in response to their questions?

thanks 😕

I remember I wrote pretty detailed paragraphs, which made them kind of long. That was about as much as I did. Sorry, I don't know if that helps 🙄 Probably not, hopefully someone from USC can clarfiy

Yea, i was going through that dilema as well. In the end, mine took a page and a half. All double space.

wrote multiple paragraphs, single spaced, 1 page per question. i was accepted.

Please respond to the following issues, using no more than one paragraph for each question and no more than two pages total for your response. Please be sure to check your grammar as well as your style of writing. You will be evaluated not only the content, but the quality of your writing as well. You will be scored on your adherence to these requirements.

I wrote 1 paragraph for each question. Each response was about half a page in length.

I downloaded the usc supplemental application, but how do you type into pdf?? Is there a version that you can download to word so you don't have to hand write it?

The instructions specifically say to use no more than one paragraph. Were the instructions different for your year? I'm a little worried cus I don't wanna get docked points for not following directions.

I don't think you can type into it unless you have adobe writer or some program like that. Sucks huh?

and for the second question i wrote multiple paragraphs (>1pg)

do you guys know if it's ok to repeat stuff from our pharmcas personal statement in our issues?

I would think repeating stuff verbatim from the PharmCAS PS would be looked down upon by the adcom. Try to say it in a different way.

Yeah, I know what ya mean. It's just that a friend of mine attended USC's orientation or something rather and she was told that USC adcoms don't really look at the PS, so we could repeat stuff if we wanted. I just don't know to what extent that's true, so it makes me all paranoid. :scared: But yeah, saying it in a different way would probably help. 🙂
